Accessibility statement
The Shared Services Catalogue (SSC) is a project of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) that is technically hosted and maintained by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The SSC aims to make its digital services as accessible as possible. The legal basis for this is the Berlin Act on Accessible Information and Communication Technology (BIKTG Bln) in conjunction with the German Ordinance on Barrier-free Information Technology (BITV).
The “Shared Services Catalogue” application underwent an expert accessibility evaluation in February 2025. The essential functions can be used with screen readers, content is accessible and the application can generally be used. Some limitations mainly affect usability, for example the programmatic association of form fields and labels, the role assignment of interactive elements, feedback when using filter functions, and certain aspects of keyboard navigation. These issues are being addressed step by step in upcoming development iterations in order to provide the most equivalent and user-friendly experience possible for all users.

- On which page or in which function the barrier occurs (URL or name of the function).
- Which assistive technology or device you are using (e.g. screen reader, keyboard only, mobile device).

We will review your feedback and attempt to remedy the issue as quickly as possible.
Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with the response from the SSC and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, or if you do not receive a response within a reasonable period of time, you may contact the conciliation body responsible under the Berlin Act on Accessible Information and Communication Technology (BIKTG Bln). Information on the enforcement or conciliation procedure is available on the website of the competent state authority for digital accessibility.
